I made a video reviewing this product. I think it is a complete waste of money and would return it if I had paid full price for it. It is cheaply made, the weather seal was fraying, and there are no screws included. Recommend others to not purchase. I did receive this product at a discount for testing purposes in exchange for my honest review. I work very hard to give thoughtful, honest, and instructive reviews for each item. This doggy door is extremely small. I decided not to install it because my 5.9 pound terrier mix puppy is too big for it already. He would be squeezing out of this door and outgrow it very quickly. Despite the description stating it is for pets up to 15 pounds I truly don't think I would recommend that as it does not seem possible. I felt as if though the door was poorly made, the red knob to change the settings (exit only, enter only, close, open) seems very fragile and it moves easily from setting to setting. Lastly, the door has a type of rug/fuzzy material to I guess reduce the sound of the door opening and closing, but I found it to be a cause for the door not shutting properly and it being a little hard to push open. This is for sure for a cat or small dog. It has a flap system that is controlled by a magnet that keeps it shut ( see my pictures). I like that it has a four-way locking system that gives you a choice based on your current need. Like, for example, you can set it so once they go out they can't come back in, or you can set it so once they come in they can't go back out. Overall it seems like a good quality, but only time will tell how well it holds up. It does give directions and measurements on how to install on the back of the box. I would prefer a template that I could tape to the door for cut out. I would like to say that if you have a hollow core door, I would not recommend you install this in a door like that.I would like to acknowledge that I received this product to test for free or at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review.
