It was easy to install, works great, looks gorgeous and seems extremely heavy duty and secure. Those alone are reasons to purchase this set, but the BEST feature is the Smart-Key function, which allowed me to reset the lock to accept my previous key to open it with. I have all of my external locks keyed the same, including garage and shed, so the ability to continue to use the same key as before was heavenly! It took me about 30 seconds to reprogram the lock to accept my old key. A professional locksmith installed all of them. Within a month or so, one went out - we were no longer able to turn the key in the deadbolt portion. The locksmith came out to look at it, "fixed" it and it worked for another week or so. Now, only 9 months after installation, another one is experiencing the exact same issue. For the price, you would think they would last at least a year. Do not purchase - at least for a door and lock you plan to use every day. We now have to pay to have these replaced, including new locks. Not a good investment. |
