We've been using then for months and they seem very durable, even though we often push on the door before we remember it's locked. The best thing is that one of us can lock a baby in the bathroom with us, but the other adult can still get in. They also work great on closets we don't want baby to access. I don't know how people live without these. Basically, the main piece sits on the top of the door. You screw the other piece into the door frame, and then the main piece slides on and off to lock and unlock the door. There is only one screw total, and it takes just about a minute to set one up on a door. It's a very smart product. My daughter instantly figured out how it works, but she can't reach it because it's at the top of the door. Even my 4 yr-old can't open it. This is a great way to keep your kids out of certain rooms. Best yet, it can be opened from either side of the door. She has been able to get around ever other child-proofing product on the market. She pulls on the doors, sometimes for hours, and the lock never gives. It looks like it is flimsy, but so far it has held strong. We have had them in place for a month with no problems. I plan on ordering more very soon. I am almost 5'3 and have absolutely no prblems unlocking them continuously. I would definitely reccommend them to anyone with an active, intelligent toddler. Awesome idea. |

The Deluxe Door Top Lock rests on top of the door so tots can't reach it. A peg mounts on the door frame and the latch slides around the peg to lock and release. Opens from either side of the door. Easy grip wand extension for shorter adults. Fits all standard interior doors up to 1 3/8" thick. Not for use with exterior or over sized doors.
